Futurama S02E03 "When Aliens Attack"

Story Outline:

Because one of  the TV show is out of broadcast, Lrrr leads his army to attack Earth. They demand the new episodes of the TV show they want. There are no records of this TV show in 30th century, so Fry and other crew members decide to make new episodes on their own. Finally the aliens get satisfied and leave.

 

Punch Lines And Funny Scene:

Bender has been controlled during the war.

The bad acting of the crew.

Comment:

This one is simply introducing the Lrrr and their planet for me.

I prefer the episodes which involve some emotion development.

Futurama S02E02 "Mars University"

Story Outline:

Fry goes to the Mars University with Professor's smart monkey. This monkey is really smart because of the intelligent hat invented by Professor. However, the monkey is not happy at all with his high intelligence. The monkey runs away from the university to the forest. Professor gives him the last chance to choice, to be a miserable genius monkey or dumb happy wild animal. At the end, the intelligence hat is broke, the Monkey finds the compromise that he can be an normal human-level-intelligent monkey from now on.

By the way, Bender also quiet enjoys his old university life.

He teaches the students of the robot house doing a lot wild thing.

Punch Lines:

Leela says that Universities in 20th century are like the Day care center.

Comment:

Honestly, I didn't get much impression on this one.

Futurama S02E01 "A Flight To Remember"

Story Outline:

Professor offers the vacation on Titanic for all the crew.

Bender meets a female robot and falls in love with her.

Because Captain Zapp's blunder , the ship is going to be sucked into a black hole.

When all of them get board on the last lifeboat, the female robot sacrifices herself to save other people and is sucked in to the black hole..

Punch Lines:

1. When Herme is using his limbo dancing skill to go through the closing gate to save their life, he still asks Zoiberg to lower the gap of the door and try to challenge the lower level.

Comment:

1. Though this episode tries to talk about Bender's relationship , It's not so interesting for me. Maybe it's due to that they are robots  or I can not imagine that Bender will actually have a serious relationship.

2. There are something develop between Leela and Fry as well, but it's not so obvious.

Futurama S01E09 Hell is Other Robots

Story Outline:

Bender get addicted to the electric drug. Every friend gets disappointed by him.

Thanks to the influence of the robot's religion, Bender quits the drug and becomes a decent robot.

 

 

All his friends thinks Bender overdoes it and lose his true color, so they tries to temp Bender with the bad stuff that Bender uses to do(drinking, stealing..) They succeed to make Bender retrieve his nature personality,but something unexpected happens. Because Bender agreed the rule of the robot's church, he has to pay for his sin.

The robot Devil brings Bender to the robot's hell. Fortunately Leela and Fry find Bender and rescue Bender successfully .

 

 

Punch Lines:

1. The robot priest holds a floppy instead of a book as their bible.

2. When Bender hides himself in the bathroom ans is using the drug, Leela ask him from outside "Are u jerking off inside?" LoL

Comment:

1. I like the illusion that Bender sees when he using the electric drug, it's so weird and funny.

2. Bender decides to do something to quit the drug because Fry says that Bender makes Fry feel shamed to be his friend. Bender actually cares about his friendship with Fry.
